He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kessler and Thelma Kessler (Coil); his wife Mary Britt; and his siblings, Josephine, Marie and William.
He is survived by: his daughter Roberta Nicholson of Guthrie Center, Iowa; his grandchildren, Cassie and Keenan Nicholson; and his sisters, Marjorie McMillan of Cedar Rapids and Dixie Watson of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
