He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Christner Sr. and Patricia Taylor; his stepfather Lawrence Taylor; his son Everette Christner; and his siblings, Susan Pohren, Diane Cramer and Dale Christner.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Christner of Fairfield, Iowa; his children, Joseph Christner (Misty) of Coralville, Iowa and Nicole Christner of Plymouth, Illinois; his stepchildren, Ron Williams (Suzi) of Wellman, Iowa, Michael Williams of Washington, Iowa, Jarrod Folkland of Quincy, Illinois, Mathew Miller (Kim) of Tennessee and Heather Brown of Fairfield, Iowa; and his siblings, Kellie Whitman and Ed Coon (Cindy) of Galesburg, Illinois.. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
