She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Morgan and Martha Morgan (Olmsted); her brother Millard; her siblings-in-law, Sharon Morgan and Jerry Kennedy; and her son-in-law Glenn Oren.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Melcher; her children, Allen (Darla Melcher), Shelley Oren of Altoona, Marilee (Brian Caves) and Renee (Phillip Laux); her grandchildren, Amber (Mark Thornton), Dana (Mitch Anderson), Abby (Thomas Hasley), Tasha Greene (Brody Norton), Joshua Oren, Jacob Oren, Morgan (Bryce VonAhsen), Brock (Paige Caves), Phillip Laux III and Mackenzie (Trevor Taghon); her great grandchildren, Luke, Lauren, Castle, Gabriella, Emerson, Max, Grady, Ty, Levi, Gentry, Weston, Emberly and Brexley; her sister Madeline; her brother-in-law Alex Tarkanov of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and her friend Donna Neil. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Behner Funeral Home & Crematory (203 S Main St, Fairfield, IA 52556). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Fell Cemetery or Libertyville First Responders and left in care of the family at 2525 Hawthorne Ave., Fairfield, Iowa 52556.
