Rachel Irene Kemp Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Irene Kemp of Fairfield, Iowa, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wiley and Ruth Wiley (Humphrey); her husband Eugene Kemp; her son Neal Kemp; and her sisters, JoAnn Wiley and Catherine Kann.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Kemp (Missy) of Urbandale and June Kemp of Fairfield; her daughter-in-law Sue Kemp; her grandchildren, Stephen Kemp (Jennifer), Jennifer Signore (Anthony), Nikolas Kemp (Dana) and Samuel Kemp; and her sibling's children, Linn Vehslage (Mary) and Kim Meeker. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (201 N Court St, Fairfield, IA 52556). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (510 E Stone Ave, Fairfield, IA 52556).
Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Community Center or Hospice of Washington County.
