We bid farewell to Virgil Myers of Fairfield, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Virgil touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Marion and Cleo Helena Myers (Briggs); his wife Barbara Jean Blakeley; his son Chuck; and his siblings, Jack, Robert, Marilyn and Delores.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Myers (Sue) of Albia and Lonnie Myers of Fairfield; his daughter-in-law Lee Ann Myers of Pleasant Plain; his grandchildren, Mark Myers (Lisa), Dan Myers, Katie Potts (Bruce), Chris Myers (Bianca), Andrew Myers, Phillip Myers (Jodi), Jonathan Myers (Morgan), Lizzie Warner (Brandon) and Kassie Curran (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Quinton, Andrew, Taylor, Davin, Erica, Gantz, Corbin, Mackenzi, Alexandra, Benjamin, Leah, Ayden, Brylon and Maizie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Behner Funeral Home & Crematory (203 S Main St, Fairfield, IA 52556). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined.
