He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Joanne Cole (Lee); his granddaughter Tara Cole; his parents, Frederick Clyde and Willa Mae Cole; and his siblings, Vera Krouse-Link, Richard Cole, James Cole, Lucy Cole, Freddie Cole, Benjamin Cole, Georgia Hoffman and Johnny Cole.

He is survived by: his children, Dusty Cole (Linda) of Schertz and Donna Johnson (Donald) of Troy, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Amber Misek (Mark), Leah Hughes (Lee), Alicia Casiano (Philip) and Justin Johnson (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Trinity, Veronica, Elliot, Ivan, Cooper and Finn; his siblings, Minnie Thomas, Ora Lunsford (Joey) and Sandy Cole; and his close friend Beverly Stiles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
