It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zella Bernice Thompson of Fairfield, Iowa, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Copeland and Ruth Copeland (Downey); her spouse Claude "Tommy" Thompson; her children, Cyndra Templeton and Hal Clarridge; and her brothers, Wayne and John Copeland.
She is survived by: her former husband Donald Clarridge; her children, Mark Clarridge (Susan) of Story City and Christina Clarridge of Grand Prairie, Texas; her stepdaughter Nancy Thompson of Ottumwa; her grandchildren, Andrew, Spencer Clarridge, Nathan, Tyler Wright, Shane Moore, Rachel Alters, Buddy Wedlake, Courtney Templeton and Allison Wilbanks; her great grandchildren, Kelsie, Makenzie, Dillan, Logan, Walter Lee "Buddy" and Colton; and her siblings, Carroll Copeland of Fairfield, Darrell Copeland of Fairfield, Carolyn Pool of Fairfield, Rita Copeland of Fairfield, Larry Copeland of Libertyville, Donna Vice of Agency and Rosalie Rodgers of Ottumwa.
