It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine M. Brown of Farley, Iowa, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis McDermott and Margaret McDermott (Clancy); her husband Loras Brown of Joseph's Church; her son Alan; her grandson Thomas Greene; her great grandchild Nicholas Greene; and her siblings, Francis (Frank), Tom McDermott and Margie McAllister.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Greene (Robert) of Marion, Lee Brown (Marie) of Peoria, Tom Brown (Nancy) of Liberty, Paul Brown (Jill) of Farley, Bonnie Brown (Stuart Wells) of Morgantown, Philip Brown (Becky) of Farley and Ted Brown of Farley; and her sister-in-law Jean McDermott. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home (330 1st Ave NW, Farley, IA 52046). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (202 2nd Ave SE, Farley, IA 52046).
In lieu of flowers, an Elaine Brown Memorial Fund has been established.
