He is survived by: his wife Donna Gerken of Farley, IA; his children, Catherine Joyce (Michael) of Irvine, CA, Cynthia Salgado of Eugene, OR, Theresa Gerken of Sparks, NV and Gerard "Gerry" Gerken of Golden, CO; his grandchildren, Bret Shotwell, Michael, Matthew, Joyce, Shannon Mac (Jason), Russell Awrey, Josh Gerken and Danielle Gerken; and his daughter-in-law Michelle Gerken. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
