She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest "Ernie" Evans and Vera Evans (Stansbury); and her husband Willard Wesley Hemmings. She is survived by: her children, Dean Hemmings (Charry) of Melbourne, Roger Hemmings (Beth) of Elkhart, Keith Hemmings (Susan) of Farmington, Iowa and Nancy Helfinstine (Alan) of Wappapello, Missouri; Patty Wooten of Nixa, Missouri.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (603 Tremont St, Farmington, IA 52626).
A memorial has been established in her memory for the First Baptist Church or EveryStep Hospice.
