He was predeceased by: his parents, Murrell "Casey" Bishop and Alverda "Verdie" Bishop (Horn); his wife Alma Thomas; his in-laws, Gist and Audrey Thomas (Thompson); and his nephew Kevin Thomas (Janice).
He is survived by: his sister Helen M. Bishop of Shenandoah; his in-laws, Katy Martin (Norbert) of Shenandoah and Dale "Buck" Thomas (Marian) of Coin; his nieces, Pam McGargill (Jake) of Imogene and Susan Murphy (Rob) of Poplar Bluff, MO; and his nephew Brad Thomas (Melissa) of Coin.
