He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Meisenheimer and Treva Meisenheimer (Anderson); and his parents-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Waters. He is survived by: his wife Gina Waters; his son Luke Meisenheimer (Jodi); his grandson Rhett of Bridgewater; his daughter Katie Gettler (Curtis); his grandchildren, Carsen and Ember of Adair; his siblings, Roger Meisenheimer (Janelle) of Greenfield, Kathy McElree (Mike) of Altoona and Mary Beth English (Jim) of Ankeny; and his siblings-in-law, Julie Waters of Atlantic, Amy Bradford (Mark) of Lee's Summit, MO and Troy Waters (Cindy) of Midlothian, TX. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home (525 Maple St, Fontanelle, IA 50846). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials: To the Larry Meisenheimer Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
