She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur William (A. W.) and Muriel Palma Strand (Strand); her brothers, Allen Strand and James Strand; and her husband David Leigh Mix.
She is survived by: her daughters, Heidi LeighAnn Wallace of Fountain, MN, Sarah Weber (Christopher) of Elk River, MN and Amy Johns of North Branch, MN; her brother Howard Strand of Milltown, WI; her sister-in-law Carol Strand of Chatfield, MN; her nieces, Emma Strand and Carrie Strand of Chatfield, MN; her son-in-law Peter Johns of Jordan, MN; and her grandsons, Luke Weber, Mason Weber and Weston Johns.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
