It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Darlyne Joyce Espeland (Forest City, Iowa), born in Wells, Minnesota, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Alvin Johnson and Goldie Johnson (Buendorf); her husband Richard S. Espeland; her son Tim; and her brother Ralph.

She is survived by : her children, Trudy Johnson (Rick) of Ankeny, IA, Ricky Espeland (Michelle) of New Port Richey, FL and Steven Espeland (Susan) of Madrid, IA; and her siblings, Coni Olson and LaMar Johnson (Bev). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Schott Funeral Home (505 N Clark St, Forest City, IA 50436). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
