He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Knoner and Bernice Knoner (Bargar); his brother John; his mother-in-law Magdalena Bakker; his brother-in-law Klaas Bakker; and his nephew Brian Knoner.
He is survived by: his children, Steve (Cheryl) of Coralville, IA and Deb of Oak Park, IL.; his wife Erika Bakker; his grandchildren, Aaron, Madeleine and Abigail Knoner; his brother Don (Marylyn) of Payson, AZ; and his sister-in-law Clydell Knoner of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
