Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Roger Allen Torkelson of Forest City, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 80, on June 28, 2025. Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roger touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schott Funeral Home (505 N Clark St, Forest City, IA 50436). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church (113 5th Ave E, Leland, IA 50453). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Ellington Township Cemetery (2294 300th St, Ventura, IA 50482).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Roger Torkelson memorial fund in care of the family.
