He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Torkelson and Othelia Torkelson; his son-in-law Ronne Newlon; and his siblings, Margie Helen, Clarence Jr., Carroll, Leslie and Wayne.
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn (Doug Arispe) of Forest City; his grandchildren, Madison Arispe of Forest City, Peyton and LCpl; his daughter Monica (Ryan Overgaard) of Klemme, IA; his granddaughter Audrey Overgaard; his siblings, Ronald Torkelson (Lucille), Bernice Voelker and Marsha Brunsvold; and his sisters-in-law, Paulette Torkelson and Janice Torkelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Roger Torkelson memorial fund in care of the family.
