With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Lynn Thoreson of Forest City, Iowa, born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on November 25, 2022 at the age of 43. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Neal, Mary Ann Johnson and John Ver Hoef; and her father-in-law James Thoreson. She is survived by : her mother Elizabeth Ver Hoef (Johnson); her husband Eric Thoreson of Forest City; her children, Alyssa Thoreson (Jackson Price), Kassandra Thoreson, Corey Thoreson and Makayla Thoreson; her father Bob Ver Hoef; her mother-in-law Twilla Thoreson; her grandmother Marge Ver Hoef; her brother Gregg Ver Hoef (Sara); her nephews, Preston and Hayden Ver Hoef; her brother-in-law Brian Thoreson (Tami); her niece Jaela Thoreson; her nephew Mikel Thoreson; her aunts, Beverly Sackitey and Amy Thompson (Graden); her uncle Norman Johnson; and her cousins, Josten and Okoteh Sackitey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sue Thoreson memorial fund in care of the family.

“In loving memory of Susan Lynn Thoreson, I only met Susan at the hospital a few months ago. I learned she was a Christian and we visited. She spoke of her husband and how wonderful he was. Her children and showed me some pictures. I told her I would pray for them. Today I stopped at the cafeteria to see if she was there and learned of her passing. My prayers are with you all. May God comfort your hearts, give you peace and guide you in the days ahead. John 14:1-3, 16-18, 27”
