It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Andera (Fort Atkinson, Iowa), who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Zoulek and Viola Zoulek (Kostka); her husband Louis Andera; her brother Donald Zoulek (Sandy); her son-in-law Rick Knight; and her great grandchild Dominic Krech.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Knight of Brooklyn Park, MN, Nancy Elofson (Dean) of Tucson, AZ, Julia Andera of Decorah, Joane Kulish (Maurice) of Calmar, Paul Andera (Wendy) of Fort Atkinson and Dawn Andera of Calmar; her brother Jack Zoulek (Joyce) of Calmar; and her sister-in-law Janet Andera of Cresco. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church (207 Church St, Spillville, IA 52168). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Howard County Community Hospice, 235 8th Ave. W., Cresco, IA 52165.
