He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Betty Murphy, Ron Schmitt (Jane), Ken Schmitt (April) and Kay Brandt of Carver, MN.; his grandchildren, Brenda Frye (Jonathan), Pam Caley (Mike), Ryan Murphy (Kristin), Shaun Schmitt (Kendra), Melissa Diveley (Chris), Scott Schmitt (Rachel), Heidi Lindstrom (Derek), Zach Brandt and Kaitlin Brandt; his in-laws, Joan Schissel, Bernice Hackman, Melvin, Mary Rausch, Theresa Cunitz, Louise Hageman and Alma Meyer; his siblings, Leonard Schmitt, Clarence (Evelyn Schmitt), Francis Schmitt, Mildred (Cletus Uhlenhake), Luella (Jerome Elsbernd) and Elaine Kuennen; and his in-laws, Urban Hageman, Lee Schissel, Leon, Jean Hageman, Alvin Hackman, LaVerne Hageman, Bob Cunitz, Al Hageman and Pete Meyer.
