She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wheat and Calvinia Wheat (Dantzler); her husband Sam Colvin; her siblings, Woodrow Wheat, Dannie Wheat, Martha Wheat and Lillian Wheat; and her close friend John Carlisle.
She is survived by: her sisters, Linda McDonald of Fort Dodge, Allice Wheat of Fort Dodge and Carolyn Wheat of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
