He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilton Burton and Maude Burton (David); his former wife Ruth Burton (Lewis); and his sisters, Betty Frick and Billie Girard.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Arndt; his children, Lynne Peterson (Lee) of Fort Dodge, Leah Morelock (Ted) of Montezuma and Barry Burton of Buhl, MN; and his nephew John Frick. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
