She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Schmidt; her parents, Margaret E. Schmidt and Fred C. Byson; and her siblings, John Byson, Ethel Helmers and Louis Byson.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Schmidt (Deb) of Fort Dodge, Chris Schmidt of Linwood, KS and Kelly McClain (Shawn) of Boone; and her siblings, Betty Vorrie of Fort Dodge and Jim Byson of Barnum. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
