He was predeceased by: his parents, Danny Mackerman and Dolly Mackerman (Gearhart); his son Elvin Mackerman Jr.; and his grandson Kyle Mackerman. He is survived by: his sons, Dan Mackerman (Vicky) of Lauderdale, MN, John "Dave" Mackerman of Fort Dodge and Douglas Mackerman (Pam Nutting) of Phoenix, AZ; and his grandchildren, Linda, Sandra, Aidan and Quinlan Mackerman.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 510 Iowa St, Center Point, IA 52213.
