It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Lee Cornell of Fort Dodge, Iowa, born in Willmar, Minnesota, who passed away on June 25, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Cornell and Birdie Cornell (Clark); his former wife Sandra Diane Isaacson; and his children, Robert and Darlene.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Spirek Eckman; his children, Lacinda Nafe of Humboldt, Rachel Zinkin of Fort Dodge and Rusty Cornell of Portland; his stepson Russell; his grandchildren, Autumn Brown of Fort Dodge, Pat Hogan of Fort Dodge, Damon Kruse of Louisiana, Shawn Nafe of Mason City and Colton Hogan; and his great grandchild River Casey.
