She was predeceased by: her father Howard Fertig; her husband Raymond Smith; her parent Rooda Fertig; her son-in-law David Mackay; her granddaughter Angel Mackay; her nephews, Daniel Chapin and Clint Franks; and her siblings, Diane Sowash, Charles Phelps, Kiana Mae Phelps, Sharon Schneekloth, David Phelps, Linda Stewart and Janet Lovell.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Mackay, Michael Smith (Ruth), Alan Smith (Paula) and Rosemary Christensen (Allan); her siblings, Susie Franks, Shirely Taulbee, Lawrence Phelps, Mary Bell (Doug), Ron Phelps (Patty), Lora Walker (Okee) and Nora Vaupel (Arnie); and her sister-in-law Louisa Fertig. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
