He was predeceased by: his parents, William George and Joan George (Wempe). He is survived by: his wife Ann McElroy; his children, Krystal Staggs (Ray) of St. Joe, MO, Tiffany Wilson (David) of Rio Rancho, NM, Nici George of Fort Dodge and Shawn George (Cassy) of Fort Dodge; and his siblings, John George of Davenport, Gary George of Manson, Mary Ellen Schultz of Moorland and Annette Huse (Bill) of Lake Park, IA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (2501 6th Ave N, Fort Dodge, IA 50501).
