She is survived by: her husband Gene Black; her children, Perry (Sarah Burke), Dean (Kristine Kimmel), Lakes, Gary (Mary Kennedy) and Lynn Allen Cedar Falls (Terry); her grandchildren, Marc Black (Sarah Walderbach), Michele Black, Jacob Black (Nicole Bolt) of Aurora, IL, Angie Allen (Brandon Haldiman), Charles "Chase" Allen (Emma Dau), Alex Allen (Kiana Barney) and Reagan Black of Brookings, SD; her stepgrandson John W. Magruder of Washington, DC; her great grandchildren, Avery, Miles Black, Aiden, Oliver, Alexander, Emma Black, Jacey Gutshall, Carroll and Olivia Bolt Black of Aurora, IL.; her brother-in-law James Black; and her sibling's children, Brett Black and Debbie Black Grooms (Dennis).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1111 5th Ave N, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
