He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gustafson and Virginia Gustafson (Barr); his sisters, Ann Theander and Karen Foster; his brother-in-law John Foster; his nephew Andrew Foster; his niece June Michalske; and his great-nephew Jonathan Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Gustafson of Fort Dodge, IA; his sister Barbara Crites of Eugene, OR; his stepchildren, Robie Schau (Rita) and Heidi Hermstad (Brad); his grandchildren, Dallas Ripke (Mike), Colton Schau, Grayson Hermstad and Kayley Hermstad; his great grandchildren, Baylor and Bergen Ripke; and his nieces and nephews, Mary, Christie, Allison, Cathy, Liz, Kim, Cole, Clay, Curt and Jason. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
