He was predeceased by: his parents, Morill K. Mericle and Ella M. Mericle (Fleak); his wife Barbara Mericle; and his son Scott Mericle. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Lundquist (Andy) of Stanhope, IA, Jody Phillips (Brad) of Fort Dodge, Bryan Mericle (Halley) of Fort Dodge and Detrace Foy; and his grandchildren, Jordan Rexroat, Taylor Deimerly, Drew Lundquist, Madalyn Montgomery, Gage Mericle, Charlie Mericle, Ellie Mericle, Cameron Stefan and Javan Hernandez. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
