He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. Bennett and Virginia Bennett; his stepfather Jerry Coates; and his brother Rick Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Marty; his son Joe (Jennifer) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Carter, Taylor and Nolan Bennett; his son Troy of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Madison, Drew and Tory Bennett; his child Ryan (Bianca) of Cedar Falls; his grandsons, Grant, Sam and Joe Greazel; his sister Margo Bennett of Albuquerque, N. M.; and his sister-in-law Pat Bennett of Twin Lakes.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (211 S 9th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
