With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roger Dean Huetig of Fort Dodge, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Roger left this world on September 25, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his brother Warren; and his brother-in-law Bill Schroder. He is survived by: his wife Becky Schroder; his daughters, Wendy (Troy Anderson) of Fort Dodge and Patricia Huetig (Phil Kennedy) of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Chase and Laurynn Anderson; his siblings, Paul Huetig (Mary) and Shirley Sueper (Chuck); and his in-laws, Jill Huetig, Kay and Brian Hacklander. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (615 N 15th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the CrossWay Evangelical Free Church (3058 10th Ave N, Fort Dodge, IA 50501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project.
