He was predeceased by : his parents, Anker R. Larsen and Evelyn Larsen (Bush); and his siblings, Everett Larsen and Patricia Halligan (Phil). He is survived by : his girlfriend Sheila Smith of Otho, IA; his daughters, Brenda Larsen of Apache Junction, AZ and Barbara Garretson of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Josh Bygness of Fort Dodge, Jennifer Bygness of Ankeny, IA, Jessica Bygness of Denver, CO, McKenzie Knudson of Fort Dodge, Jaycie Lennon (Ben) of Gowrie, IA and Elijah Hernandez of Apache Junction; and his sister-in-law Terrie Larsen of Texas. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home (923 1st Ave S, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
