He was predeceased by: his parents, Lempi "Dorothy" Dagmar Aspi and Lloyd Roy Chase; and his siblings, Katherine Mike (Kitty), Elizabeth Jacobson (Bettie) and Roger Chase.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Carlson; his daughters, Tami Lines (Todd) of Omaha, Sandi Abbas (Jeff) of Adel, IA and Barbi Chase (Nabil Haddad) of Littleton, CO.; his granddaughters, Erika Buffington (Cole), Emily Martusciello (Marco), Lauren Abbas (Justin Leonard), Morgen Abbas (Zach Clayton), Kirsten Abbas (Blake Kuper), Mackenzie Burke and Katarina Burke; and his great grandchildren, Bennett, Kameron, Andi Buffington and Martusciello.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (211 S 9th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Fairfield Cemetery (2221 510th St, Albert City, IA 50510).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hawkeye Theater, PICA or, Grace Lutheran Church.
