She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Fifer and Pauline B. Rauenbuehler Fifer; and her brother Thomas Fifer. She is survived by: her husband Robert Stair Heitz of Fort Madison, Iowa; her sons, Paul J. "P. J." Stoppleworth of Solon and Thomas L. Stoppleworth of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her siblings, Jeanne Baumann (Ray Nurmi) of Marquette, Michigan, Marcia Kramer (Jerry) of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Lorraine M. Keeth (Robert) of Englewood, Colorado, Timothy L. Fifer (Caren) of Novi, Michigan, Dr. Theodore D. Fifer (Elsa) of Effingham, Illinois and Joseph J. Fifer (Katie) of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison (1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, IA 52627).
A memorial has been established Fort Madison Public Library, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison or at the church the day of services.
