He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth David and Zelda Baxter; his brother Darrell; his family, Tony, Michael and Mary; his brother Tony Baxter; his children, Tony Baxter (Cindy) of Fort Madison and Mary Scott (Steve Hansen) of Fort Madison; his grandchildren, Tia Yager (Casey), Marissa Huffman (Jason), Michael Baxter, Angela Scott and Kayla Christensen (Cory); his great grandchildren, Xavion, Charley, Liam, Ben, Rhett, Sophia, Xionna, Capp, Adah and Christensen; his sister Janice Fair Lindenhurst; his wife Mary Ann; his sons, James Patrick and Michael David; and his great grandchild Ximara. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Baxter Sports Complex.
