He is survived by: his children, Kate Gustafson, Loretta Thompson (Brian) and Rob Miller (Patti); his grandchildren, Cheyenne Brobston (Tony), Shayla Gustafson (Josh Allen), Markita Currie (Tyler), Andrew Currie (Melissa), Rhiannon Freeman (Caleb), Mylee Miller and Halee Miller; his great grandchildren, Sophy, Athena, Jaya and Jade; his sister Myrna Mehring (Charles); his sibling's children, Monica and John; and his former wife Annette Pranger.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prugh's Chapel (317 N 4th St, Burlington, IA 52601). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
