He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sugars and Ina Winch Sugars; his wife Rita Mettenburg; and his siblings, Mary Carlson and Bernard Sugars.
He is survived by: his son Tim Sugars (Diane) of Montrose; his grandchildren, Tyler (Hayley Weber) and Abby Sugars; and his brother Harlan Sugars (Judy) of Denmark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
