He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur W. Wilson and Alta Ruth Wilson (Snyder); his wife Karen Lee Ballard; his son Michael Wilson; and his siblings, Harold, Raymond and Juanita Sawyer.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald A. Wilson Jr. (Christy) of Fort Madison, Iowa, Dollie J. Horn (Gregory) of Fremont, Iowa, Shirley J. McMurray (Ronald) of Franklin, Iowa and Rebecca S. "Becky" Wilson of Fort Madison, Iowa; and his siblings, Leon Wilson (Frances) of Fort Madison, Iowa and Billie Mosher of Fort Madison, Iowa. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.
