Harriet P. Souder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriet P. Souder of Fort Madison, Iowa, born in Bruce, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Jordan and Lillian Young Jordan; her husband Walter Souder; her daughter Dixie Souder; and her grandson Aaron Fristoe.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Bartlett (Rob) of Ft. Madison, Karen Recktenwald of Littleton, CO, Holly Souder of Golden, CO and Kristine Souder of Ft. Madison. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten great - grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Because of Harriet's love of art, a memorial has been established for the Oskaloosa Art Center where her granddaughter, Briana Bartlett continues the legacy of her grandmother's passion for art.
