He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Posz (Kent) and Charles Posz. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his sons, Allen Posz (Marsha) of Columbia and David Posz (Darcie) of Washington, DC; and his sister Anne Maclure (David) of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
