The passing of Linda L. Simpson of Fort Madison, Iowa leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 24, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Walljasper and Clara Boeding Walljasper; her husband Frank Simpson; her close friend Rick Munoz; her brother Matthew Walljasper; and her son James David.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Maffucci (Bill) of Clive, IA and Annette Eckmeier (Ryan) of Colona, IL; her grandchildren, Jarred Carter (Kuiyin), Karina Eckmeier, Johnathan Maffucci and Cameron Maffucci; her great grandchild Noah Carter; and her siblings, Racheal Kunesh, Mark Walljasper, Kathy Crawford and Ruth McDaniel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Donnellson Red Hats and volunteered countless hours for RSVP and the decorating committee at Holy Family Parish.
