He is survived by: his wife Diana Lynn Smith of Burlington; his daughters, Stephanie Kinneer (Mathew) of Burlington and Shayna Smith (Jesse) of Fort Madison; and his grandchildren, Malena, Claytin Kinneer, Randall, Laila, Harper and Amelio Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
