He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Steffensmeier and Margaret Schumaker Steffensmeier; his brother Carroll Steffensmeier; his mother-in-law Ruby Irene Brent; and his siblings-in-law, Vivian Wallace, Carol Ertz and Ralph Brent.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Steffensmeier of Ft. Madison; his children, Roy Steffensmeier of Ft. Madison and Cheryl Williamson (Kevin) of Marion, IA; his grandchildren, Rayce Steffensmeier and Keatynn Williamson; his brother Marvin Steffensmeier (Emmajean) of Fredericksburg, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Steffensmeier of Ft. Madison, Kathi Cline of Burlington, Ruby Dravis of Burlington, Diana Williams of Ft. Worth, TX, Phyllis Robb of Mt. Vernon, IL, Janet Morris of St. Charles, MO and Robert Brent of West Burlington. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
