It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Leininger of Fort Madison, Iowa, who passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Corsbie and Opal Corsbie (Still); her grandson Joseph Leininger; and her brother-in-law Samuel "Dick" Johnston. She is survived by : her children, Suzanne Boak of Orrville, Ohio, Kathleen Holtkamp (Tom) of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Steven Leininger (Mary) of Sterling, Ohio, Michael Leininger (Theresa) of Seville, Ohio and Lisa Holtkamp (Russ) of West Point, Iowa; her sisters, Judy Johnston of Belton, Missouri and Jane Sugars of Fort Madison, Iowa; her grandchildren, Adam Hanzie, Josh Hanzie (Jill), Lauren Boak (Zach Myers), Jordan Holtkamp (Deidre), Derek Holtkamp (Karli), Zach Leininger, Austin Leininger (Jordan), Justin Leininger (Rilee Koprivec), Jessica Cordova (Phil), Jacob Holtkamp (Megan Tarmichael) and Nick Holtkamp (Maddy Gooden); her great grandchildren, Lucas, Ava Hanzie, Hayden, Dawson Holtkamp, Flynn and Vivian Holtkamp; and her brothers-in-law, Frank Leininger (Melanie) of Franklin and David Leininger (Kathy) of Wooster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
