He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hudson and R. Katheryn Hudson (Caster); his wife Ferol Leonhard; his son-in-law Doug Birchmeier; and his stepson Mark Leonhard.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Pitts (Steve) of Birmingham, Janna Hudson Birchmeier of Owosso and David Hudson (Marie) of Frisco, Texas; his stepsons, Shawn Leonhard (Karla) of Hamilton and Jeffrey Leonhard of Dallas City, Illinois; his grandchildren, Taylor Birchmeier, Ashtyn Prater, Kyle Leonhard, Jasma "Nikki" Schwieterman, Cody Leonhard and Colbi Peterson; and his siblings, Alice Lehman (Keith) of Portland, Indiana, John Hudson (Leona) of Blissfield and Ruth Stephenson of Portland, Indiana. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barr Memorial Chapel (1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, IA 52627). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
