With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Mullan of Fort Madison, Iowa, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Earl and Leedice Marian Mullan (Olds); his wife Frances L. Smith; and his son David. He is survived by : his children, William S. Mullan (Shannon) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeri Mullan-Lee (Davey Lee) of St. Paul and Lynn Mullan-Marek of Fort Madison; his grandchildren, Megan Mullan, Sharmiki, Hannah, Jenna Mullan and Jack Marek; his stepchildren, Gregory Luegering (Barb) of Katy, Texas, Susan Nutgrass (Bob) of Indianola and Julia Russell (Duane) of Nebraska City, Nebraska; and his caregivers, Gloria Alvarez-Sharpman and Juan Alvarez.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison (1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, IA 52627). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Barr Memorial Chapel (1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, IA 52627).

A memorial has been established for Three Rivers Conservation Foundation and the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
