It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Raymond Bodensteiner of Fredericksburg, Iowa, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bodensteiner and Sylvia Bodensteiner (Holthaus); his sisters, Karla Ann and Mary Alice; and his siblings-in-law, Leallan "Butch" Croatt and Donna Bodensteiner.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice; his children, Denise Udelhofen (Jeff) of Peosta, IA, Carla Christiansen (John) of Lakeville, MN and Greg Bodensteiner (Amy) of Waverly, IA; his grandchildren, Cody Udelhofen, Allison Helms (Nathan), Jocelyn Nyblom, Jenna Nyblom, Brenna Bodensteiner, Ryan Christiansen, Braden Bodensteiner, Brittney Bodensteiner and Brooks Bodensteiner; his great grandchild Beau Helms; and his siblings, Ronald Bodensteiner of West Union, IA, Leon Bodensteiner (Alice Neitzey) of Bolivia, NC, Neil Bodensteiner (Dorothy) of Hawkeye, IA, Jeanette Croatt of Hastings, MN, Donna Weibel (John) of Manchester, IA and Wanda Sanders (Bob) of Sumner, IA..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (218 3rd St NW, Waucoma, IA 52171). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Rose Cemetery - Waucoma Waucoma.
