He was predeceased by: his father James Brunner; and his grandfathers, Edwin Brunner (Bernice), Curtis Johnson (Irene) and Harold Messey. He is survived by: his mother Kay Brunner (Johnson) of Charles City; his wife Julie Brunner of Fredericksburg; his sons, Tyler Brunner (Stephanie) of Ohio and Steven Schoening (Katy) of North Carolina; his grandson Eric Liddle (Marissa) of Kansas; his daughter Danielle Newman (Tim) of Bettendorf; his grandchild Chantelle Valim (Wesley); his siblings, Mark Brunner of Nashua, Kim Scott (Tony) of Waukee and Jennifer Wohlers (Tom) of Charles City; and his grandchildren, Madelyn, Holden, Evelyn of Hadley, AJ and Olivia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
