He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Versteegh and Lydia Gosselink Versteegh; and his sisters, Madge Versteegh, Esther Jacobs, Vivian Hasty and Gladys Wolfe.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy (Darrell Sams), Barry (Virginia Versteegh), Bruce (Diane Versteegh) and Ron Versteegh (Cheryl Wilms). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Fremont Community Church (526 E Main St, Fremont, IA 52561).
