He is survived by: his wife Heather Buchanan-Smith of Galva, IA; his children, Caitlin Smith of Florida and Noah Smith of Maryland; his brother Tim Smith (Iwona) of North Carolina; his niece Lauren Olivia Smith of Texas; and his nephews, Nicholas Smith of Colorado, Mark Andrews of South Carolina and John Andrews of South Carolina.
